@Judith, he can only get BAH if your daughter signed him 51% or more custody. If he doesn’t have that he is not getting it

Hello Judith. I agree that’s wrong. I don’t know much about child support, but I was able to look up information. DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Service) has a post on how to collect child support payments from military members.
It seems like you will have to get the court order sent to DFAS for them to garnish the pay. Good luck!

My daughter, a college student is not receiving any aid from her baby’s father. The child is almost 2 years old, and the father has been receiving BAH for his child who lives in another state, he shares nothing with his child. Where is the justice in that? Why doesn’t the military ensure funds be properly allocated to the child or help enforce the court ordered child support is enforced? We can’t get any response from the military and can no longer afford attorney fees. Any thoughts on who to contact? Thank you.
